The Opportunity

The Account Management team partners closely with Catalina’s Sales teams to create a seamless experience for CPG and retail customers from post-sale through campaign completion. We work directly with clients to support implementation, drive campaign performance, maximize ROI, and advocate for customer needs across every internal function we touch.

Quality and customer satisfaction are at the center of everything we do.

As an Account Manager, you will be at the heart of that work. You will own a portfolio of customer accounts, develop a deep understanding of each client’s business goals and technical requirements, and serve as the primary point of accountability for campaign success across all channels and products. This role is for someone who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and holds themselves to a high standard on behalf of their customers.

Responsibilities

Catalina is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is solution-oriented and committed to continuous improvement, uses data to inform their work, and brings a genuine service mindset. You are detail-oriented and a critical thinker, able to work as part of a team, and possess exceptional communication skills.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships, with a passion for digital marketing and collaborating with CPG brands and retail customers.

You will be assigned a set of customer accounts and will be responsible for thoroughly understanding each customer’s unique business strategy, objectives, campaign goals, and technical setup requirements across all channels, products, and services.

  • Manage, communicate, and monitor the end-to-end campaign process, including:
    • Collecting campaign specifications and implementation requirements from assigned customers.
    • Partnering with the Graphic Design team to develop creative assets for go-to-market campaigns, sales presentations, strategic opportunities, and customer meetings.
    • Ensuring the quality of campaign details and implementation packages, and overseeing publication.
    • Maintaining accountability for overall campaign delivery, in partnership with Revenue Management, to ensure campaigns are on track for full delivery.
    • Creating post-campaign KPI results for sales or customer review.
  • Provide expert-level Catalina knowledge for all assigned accounts and relevant channels, including in-store media campaigns, digital advertising, place-based media/digital out-of-home campaigns, and others.
  • Act as the primary contact for status updates, in-flight performance, and optimization opportunities or challenges with cross-functional team members and customers.
  • Recommend media campaign optimization actions based on customer-defined KPIs, best practices, and historical campaign trends.
  • Collaborate with internal sales contacts to recommend in-flight revenue management tactics, document results, and report overall campaign performance against customer KPIs.
  • Own troubleshooting, coordination, and escalations to resolve campaign challenges, using these learning experiences to build subject-matter expertise.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of each customer’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all media campaign management tools to serve as a customer and/or sales consultant and a resource on system and targeting capabilities.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to internal execution processes to uphold Catalina’s standards of quality, timeliness, and value.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • College degree required; degrees in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of Catalina experience in Delivery, Analytics, or Sales Support, or 2+ years of relevant industry experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Brand Insights, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Campaign Management.
  • 1+ year of experience or exposure to digital media buying. RTB and programmatic experience/knowledge is a plus.
  • Marketing background with an understanding of marketing frameworks and tools preferred.
  • Strong customer service mindset, with a focus on customer orientation, responsiveness, building strong internal and external relationships, navigating difficult situations, and prioritizing long-term quality over short-term convenience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, strong follow-through, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including experience with data analysis and brand management.
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet concurrent deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including active listening, assertiveness, persuasion, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, focus on results, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to creatively overcome obstacles, collaborate effectively, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Strong personal qualities including honesty, integrity, self-confidence, maturity, thoroughness, and a commitment to continuous learning.
