Workday Financials Analyst (Core Financials, Procurement, Expenses, Assets)

Reporting to the Financial Systems Supervisor, this role is primarily responsible for providing Workday Financials global support, including our business process framework, report writing, configuring, and testing new and enhanced elements of Workday Financials modules used by the company and ensuring the overall integrity of the Workday Financials system.
This role will be exposed to other financial systems, technology, and tools used to streamline and automate processes and procedures and enhance reporting. This position will also build partnerships with teams with Finance, IT, and Human Resources to help accomplish goals and objectives.
Workday Financials system management including functional configuration, testing, business process optimization, and maintenance for the following modules: Core Financials, Procurement, Expenses, and Assets
Maintain metadata in Workday Financials environment, ensuring consistency across all financial systems, removing deprecated members, and ensuring completeness of all members including cost centers, accounts, and companies.
Maintain and modify Workday Financials business processes by simplifying business processes, eliminating redundant logic/steps, finding potential gaps in the business process, and improving the business process for better maintainability
Maintain and review Workday user security groups to eliminate redundancy in role assignment and ensure users have appropriate security access.
Maintain Workday Financials environment through reviewing, researching, and troubleshooting system issues via Remedyforce ticketing system
Monitor, resolve and communicate, as necessary, system alerts and integration errors in a timely manner
Encourage and support team initiative(s) to enhance user involvement and knowledge of the financial systems
Partner with the Workday Financials functional users to develop standard operating procedure (SOPs) documentation
Partner with diverse stakeholders to design, test, implement and maintain best practices for systems and processes within the configuration of Workday
Adopt and implement new Workday features where existing functionality has been deprecated.
Configure, test, and implement new features and/or enhanced functionality for Workday Financials
Partner with business, gathering requirements, developing fit/gap analysis, training on new features, and providing adoption recommendations of new functionality from Workday Financials releases and updates.
Collaborate and partner with users to ensure financial systems are leveraged to drive efficiencies
Lead user acceptance testing for Workday feature releases to ensure key user stakeholders understand changes and adopt the new, relevant, and applicable functionality.
Develop, configure and modify custom Workday financials reports and dashboards
Participate in implementations, upgrades, integration, support, and enhancement of other financial systems, such as Appzen and Ascend
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related field
1 – 5 years of experience in a financial system administrator role
1 – 5 years of experience with Workday Financials including functional configuration, testing, business process optimization, and maintenance for Core Financials, Procurement, Expenses, and Assets.
Proficiency in multiple financial business processes preferred: Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Financial Accounting (FA), General Ledger (GL), Assets Management (AM), Budgeting, Cash Management (CM), Purchase Order Conversions, Expense Management (T&E)
Experience maintaining Workday metadata
Experience with Workday reporting tools, dashboards, and EIBs
Proficiency in excel (can perform complex functions)
Experience with Workday Security and strong understanding of segregation of duties preferred
Experience using ticketing systems (ie. Remedyforce)
Experience developing standard operating procedure (SOPs) documentation for Workday Financials and training system users.
Ability to lead user acceptance testing for Workday feature releases
