Sr Director, Product Owner
We're looking for a Senior Director, Product Owner to join our Technology Product Team. Join us to help lead Catalina's data platform transformation through a team of Data Product Owners and associated scrum teams. You will be working with a Product Manager, the customer, product, platform, and primarily technology groups to elicit requirements and drive future state business and technology change. The Senior Director, Product Owner reports to the Vice President, Product and Data Platform Management. The Senior Director leads a team of Product Owners as direct reports.
The Senior Director, Product Owner, is responsible for capturing, defining, and prioritizing product backlog items in coordination with key stakeholders to deliver on planned work through an Agile development framework. Also, it is crucial to understand the customer's desires and the technology's capabilities in Catalina's omnichannel consumer targeting realm.
Provide oversight and leadership to a team of Product Owners
Be responsible for career development; coaching; setting goals and objectives; mentoring; workplace culture
Oversee and govern the PO responsibilities related to the Azure-hosted cloud-deployed data platform.
Elicit requirements, synthesize, and document them into stories for the product backlog
Work directly with the data engineering teams building data platforms and applications for domestic and international markets
Translate technical issues. Explain technical/architectural complexities to project stakeholders; understand and communicate technical or project-plan impact to requirements
Work with the data engineering scrum teams to ensure that all tactical objectives are completed, and the committed quarterly goals are achieved for domestic and international markets
Partner with stakeholders' organizations to define and align on product roadmaps, priority, and delivery
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements
Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
8+ years of Product Owner/Business Analyst or related field, focusing on data warehouse technologies and data management principles.
Cloud data warehousing experience (Apache Spark/Scala, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Cloud Stack)
Experience in working in Big Data ecosystems with petabyte+ scale
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and Subject Matter Experts
