Sr Director, Brand Development - Retail
You will be joining Catalina’s US Retail team; regarded in the industry as best-in-class in driving sales, increasing loyalty and reducing costs for retailers everywhere. With access to the world’s largest consumer behavior database, you will be part of a unique sales team which provides insights and value, resulting in being viewed as indispensable partners by our retail partners.
The Senior Director will support driving Catalina’s strategic direction in Retail relationships that will drive customer success. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute on strategic plans, bringing new capabilities and initiatives to Retail partners. You will be responsible for partnering with Retail sellers, leaders and cross-functional partners to ensure and enable strategic partnerships that are focused on expanding Catalina’s digital and in-store business capabilities including digital signage, promotions kiosks, and other in-store technology providers; plus consumer reach, and content distribution through Catalina’s in-store network.
Strategic partner on high value Retail accounts, navigating success from inception to delivery:
Creation, collaboration & execution on key engagement touchpoints (i.e. – Discovery meetings, Top 2 Tops, QBRs, Innovation Sessions, etc.)
Measure Retailer relationship progress and success through account deep dives, deliverable trackers, and the Retail Strategic Workbook. Nurture new accounts, highlighting early successes and advocating for scaling of our technology across their business.
Support contract engagement, as needed, in the development of proposals and response to proposals. Facilitate engagement with Contract renewal lead.
Product & Commercialization – development, application, alignment to customer value proposition
Ensure Product collateral is updated for Account Teams and Customer, and (where necessary) customized to the Retailer
In conjunction with the Retail team and leadership, develop objectives and strategies in support of business development goals
Facilitate and coordinate business development action plans for Retailers, engaged with the highest levels of the Retail organization
Communicate results, timelines and status, to a broad and targeted audience, including the most senior executives in the company, on an informal and formal basis
Understand and stay abreast of the competitive ecosystem developments and assess how they impact Catalina
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
8+ years of experience working in a CPG/Retail sales environment
2+ years project management experience
Demonstrates market and industry knowledge and recognizes changing market trends
Demonstrates the ability to link corporate strategic goals to customer facing solutions
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work alongside multiple team members
Proven record of meeting/exceeding established goals
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build business cases and value propositions to justify partnerships
Ability to generate content to present new ideas, concepts and strategies
Ability to communicate with all levels within customer/prospect’s organization
