Our Team

The Network Engineering team is responsible for a variety of infrastructure systems internationally as part of the Global Shared Services organization. Platforms managed by the team include routers, switches, wireless, voice, video, collaboration and security. Our team strives to provide actionable solutions engineering to meet the demands of Catalina’s global business. The incumbent for this position will report to the Director, Cloud Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing and implementing network services and Cloud/On-Premise Data Centers

  • Acts as a resource for both internal IT and external service providers in network analysis, design, and engineering

  • Provides direction, training, and technical guidance on complex issues

  • Establishes and communicates common goal and direction to team

  • Monitors SLAs and project schedules/costs

  • The incumbent will report into the Infrastructure Engineering organization and work on developing a global enterprise network strategy and roadmap

  • There is an expectation of significant connections with other infrastructure, application and Ops teams as well as third parties as appropriate and other Technology organizations

  • The scope of responsibilities will include strategic design, implementation, capacity and performance of Catalina Marketing’s enterprise security environment

  • The role will be based in Saint Petersburg, Florida

  • Provides guidance to offsite Service Providers activities related to network and data center technologies

  • Provides direction and/or technical guidance to Service Providers

  • Responsible for compliance with internal and external policies

  • Respond to major incidents, SWAT calls and other conference calls in support of IT business processes

  • Performs design work that incorporates industry best practices for global enterprise networks

  • Exerts influence and knowledge around Network and Data Center Strategies and Recommendations

  • Works as a technical lead on projects requiring network based technologies

  • Ensures that network improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency

  • Monitors usage and maintenance costs of network components and corresponding licenses and agreements

  • Monitors proper installation, configuration and testing of network and data center components

  • Assist in developing and maintaining hardware life cycle management methodology

Additional Responsibilities

  • Engage in Catalina’s technology roadmap development

  • Engage with the EA function to ensure that Infrastructure Architectural designs are in line with the needs of the current and future network and security needs

  • Designs to properly balance sustainability, supportability, security, resiliency, and cost to meet the business objectives

  • Participate in the budgeting process and manage to tight financial goals

  • Engage and manage external vendors/outsourcing partners as appropriate to enhance the team’s capabilities and execution abilities

  • Works with global teams and with a variety of national and corporate cultures.  Establishes partnerships with peers across geographies to coordinate standard approaches and communications and act as a single team

  • Establishes partnerships with direct counterparts in other regions to ensure a standardized environment, leverage contract opportunities, and share resources to improve quality and efficiency

  • Communicates (written/verbal) with department manager, management, key users, and external vendors

  • Other Management and other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Enterprise Level IT environment

  • 6+ years’ experience implementing, troubleshooting and maintaining Route/Switch Systems

  • 2+ years’ experience implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Security/Firewall Systems

  • CCIE Security (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert)

  • PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) or the ability to successfully to complete certification requirements

  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or the ability to successfully to complete certification requirements
