Indirect Tax Accountant II (contract role)

Reporting to the Global Tax Director, this role is essential in the corporate finance and accounting function. The role can be completely remote or hybrid by joining other team members in our St. Petersburg, FL office. The team works closely to collaborate on matters germane to the finance and accounting functions, while regularly coming together for fun, informative activities designed to foster connections to coworkers and to the company.
Timely and accurately prepare sales and use tax returns. including preparation of journal entries, supporting schedules and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Perform monthly reconciliation of tax accounts by period close.
Complete census reports and Federal BEA reports as required quarterly and annually.
Provide accurate information for cash projections for federal, state and local tax and property tax payments.
Timely and accurately provide asset information and supervise preparation of over 8,000 property tax returns
Minimum of 1 - 3 years of public accounting experience and/or corporate tax department experience.
BS or BA degree in Accounting.
Demonstrated expertise in US GAAP required.
Strong IT skills and exposure to ERP systems, excel spreadsheets & pivot tables required; experience with OneSource tax provision preparation software is preferred.
Adept at prioritization and understanding sense of urgency.
