Responsibilities
The Associate Director, Brand Development manages partnerships with Catalina’s CPG/manufacturing clients and uses industry-leading insights and innovation to achieve a client’s strategy and drive revenue. They serve as a trusted consultant, develop customer led program solutions aligned with client objectives, and prioritize goals through smart campaign recommendations using insights and custom research.
Build and manage relationships across multiple clients, multiple functions (brand marketing, field sales, consumer promotion) and at all levels of the organization.
Build strong relationships with client contacts & understanding of their unique objectives, and a solid understanding of their organization’s national/brand strategies as well as strategies of their retail partners.
Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives & goals, and how Catalina can support with data insights and recommendations.
Work with cross-functional partners to develop measurement strategies, optimize and design campaigns for success, and achieve shared objectives with clients.
Present recommendations to clients, foster conversation, and tailor per client feedback.
Develop long-term business plans that include Omni-Channel solutions and new advertising capabilities to increase client penetration and sustainable revenue growth.
Successfully develop internal and external relationships to achieve success against strategic account plans.
Build out a cadenced communication plan to share intel on client accounts, discuss business opportunities, and scale more broadly.
Rapidly expand Catalina network, including partnering with cross-functional teams such as Analytics, Sales Support, Customer Delivery, Customer Success, Contracts, Accounting, and Legal, as well as their business counterparts on CPG/manufacturing and Retail Teams.
Manage accounts including revenue forecasting and the management of programs, budgets, and accounts receivable.
Adapt to distinct roles and responsibilities to effectively serve the needs of diverse clients and internal partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
1 to 3 years previous sales/marketing experience in a Retail industry
Experience in digital/mobile roles in CPG industry or agency a plus
Strong knowledge of marketing and sales, with particular emphasis on the CPG manufacturer/retail sales environment and experience with digital marketing.
Possess excellent relationship building skills.
Ability to understand multiple retailer categories and make recommendations to address strategic initiatives.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface and sell at all levels of management.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Budget management, financial projection skills.
Ability to professionally perform multi-media sales presentations.
Expert-level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to travel overnight for customer/client visits and trainings (under 5%)
