The Global Privacy Office is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering Catalina’s global privacy compliance program. With privacy concerns so prevalent, our organization’s mission is to protect Catalina’s brand by identifying and reducing risk across the enterprise.

This position will report to the Manager of Privacy, work with a collaborative & supportive team of highly qualified individuals and will have the opportunity to grow their knowledge not only in privacy but also security.


  • Support process implementation with the business to ensure compliance with new & changing global privacy laws in the USA, EU, and JP

  • Support the performance of Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), Privacy by Design (PbD), and Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), from a risk-based approach, in EU, US, JP according to the applicable legislation and Catalina’s Privacy Program.

  • Partner with Global Privacy and Technology teams to process ‘Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR)’ and ‘Do Not Sell Requests.’

  • Update and maintain the records of process activities to support Catalina’s data mapping initiative in OneTrust.

  • Reinforce and socialize Catalina’s Global Privacy Program with key stakeholders

  • Mature product, vendor, and solutions privacy assessments by working with Catalina’s Legal, Third-party Risk Management, and Security teams to implement a ‘review and demo’ process.

  • Participate in the drafting, maintaining, and updating of Catalina’s Privacy Policy and related General Procedures in a manner that enables consistent and effective practices that protect the confidentiality of PII, NPPI and other sensitive data.

  • Through analysis, deliver guidance to ensure consumer experiences and internal data collection are consistent with Catalina’s privacy principles as well as applicable laws.

  • Encourage privacy best practices through consistent analysis, feedback, and follow-through with teams.

  • Assist with the development, implementation, and delivery of privacy training to Catalina employees

  • Engage with trade organizations and other resources to develop a holistic understanding of the privacy environment and challenges across industries.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Auditing or Accounting, with 2+ years of experience in compliance, risk compliance/management, audit, or privacy.

  • Proven knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, APPI)

  • Strong ability to multi-task, strategically solve problems, maintain complex processes, and attention to detail.  

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively about the importance of privacy by design as a business differentiator and core value, beyond legal compliance.

  • Understanding of controls and risks in an international company

  • IAPP Certification or ability to achieve 18 months post-hire.

  • Experience working with disparate teams and international employees and partners

  • Ability to communicate, write, and speak in English.

  • Strong work history with increasing responsibility over time

  • Ability to speak and/or read a third language such as French, German, Japanese, or Italian is preferred.
