Our Team
Reporting to the Manager, Creative Services, the Digital Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, revising and delivering innovative and effective coupons and promotional graphics for digital and print media channels. This fast-paced job requires the designer to work with many retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands for U.S. clients. The digital designer will be part of a creative production team with a passion for graphic design, that offers both autonomy and support and looks forward to enriching an employee’s path as a designer and professional.
Responsibilities
Design, optimize, revise, proofread, and pre-flight client-supplied and/or existing graphics to ensure production specifications and best practices are met for print and digital products
Effectively communicate visually, ensuring adherence to graphic design principles. Create aesthetically pleasing artwork to convey intended message to the target audience.
Ensure graphics adhere to high standards of accuracy and quality, proactively identify, and resolve issues. Understand requirements and deliver graphics to meet client expectations.
Be subject matter expert for platforms, creative technologies, creative concepts via process and product training.
Provide comprehensive product support, continually learning and expanding your knowledge of Catalina’s offerings. Use this knowledge to execute projects with excellence and contribute to the development of new products and services.
Manage projects and maintain project data in Catalina’s project management systems.
Archive completed projects and maintain Creative Services libraries.
Provide design support as needed for internal company communications, ensuring visual elements are consistent with our brand and effectively communicate the intended message.
Proactively research and explore emerging design trends and techniques through various channels to ensure that the work produced is innovative and relevant to clients and target audiences particularly in the CPG and Retail industry.
Actively participate in Operations Department and Creative Services meetings, keeping up to speed with the company’s goals and direction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related subject.
Online portfolio demonstrating knowledge of design, layout, typography, and animation abilities.
3+ years of graphic design experience in an agency or in-house setting.
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
Proficiency in digital design space, motion graphics and designing across devices.
Familiarity with UI, UX concepts preferred.
Strong verbal communication skills and knowledge of grammar and composition rules required for editing and proofreading material.
