The Business Intelligence team is responsible for enterprise-wide design, development, and support of reporting deliverables primarily using MicroStrategy. With strong analytical skills, we drive value to both internal and external customers through powerful visualizations and an understanding of the meaning behind the data.
We are seeking candidates who want to join the Business Intelligence team focused on empowering the business with data analytics.
This position will report to the Senior Director of Business Intelligence.
Develop Business Intelligence reports and dashboards within MicroStrategy
Provide ongoing support via troubleshooting and making enhancements to existing BI reporting
Manipulate shopper analytics data using SQL to be consumed into MicroStrategy to provide visualization and analytical insights
Generate insights on shopper behavior for the sales organization to help answer business questions and accelerate new business prospecting
Work with field analytics team to automate custom reporting to drive efficiency replacing manual data pulls
Convert reporting to the latest version of MicroStrategy and enhance to align with revamped BI MicroStrategy architecture
Support data migration from on-premises to cloud-based data solutions by remapping BI solutions to new cloud architecture
Create and improve documentation for user SOPs and technical specifications for the internal BI Team.
Translate business requests to data and reporting requirements
Work with lead developers, product owners, and internal clients to drive business solutions
Work within the established conventions for assigned projects (coding conventions, using the version control system, using of the defect control system, etc.)
Complete assigned development tasks within the timeline and according to project requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, data science, statistics, business administration, economics, or related quantitative field.
Minimum 2+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards in MicroStrategy (preferred), Power BI, or Tableau
2+ years of experience querying and manipulating data using SQL
Possess and express excellent problem-solving skills and use in developing creative solutions to complex problems
Understanding of general programming concepts
Understanding of Relational OLAP database models used in Decision Support Systems
Exemplary team player who collaborates well with peers, superiors, and cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
Strong information organization skills
General understanding of system architecture
Experience in Marketing, CPG, or Retail industries preferred
Experience working with Cloud (Amazon, Azure, Rackspace, or similar) preferred
Experience working with an agile software development environment preferred
