Our Team

The Retail Analytics team is responsible for providing analyses, insights and recommendations that address the business needs of the Catalina retail sales team or the retail client, in support of internal strategic projects and external retailers.  These analyses, insights and recommendations—whether based on standard reports or custom analyses—should serve as the basis for discussions with the retail sales team and client, provide actionable insights and recommendations that address client strategies, initiatives, and objectives. 

Catalina’s Retail Analytics Internship Program offers a powerful and unique experience for top Business/Marketing Analytics undergraduates/graduates interested in pursuing a business analytics career with the world’s largest shopper purchase history database driving unparalleled business intelligence and informed marketing optimization. The Retail Analytics Internship Program develops future Catalina Analytics experts who can innovate and drive solutions for Catalina’s retailer clients.


  • Participants in this program enjoy a diverse and challenging set of assignments, focused technical and business training, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Participants are well prepared to take on roles that will accelerate their career and drive innovation at Catalina.
  • Participants can develop skills and industry experience while solving real life business questions and challenges that have an impact on real customers.
  • Participants have a chance to support program evaluations on real-time campaigns that can guide retailers towards marketing investment optimization
  • Participants can apply open source (Python/R) coding skills to help solution automation and ADHOC business questions
  • Participants will help screening automated measurement reports to ensure quality deliverables
  • Participants will also have a chance to apply your organizational and writing skills to help documentation initiation and enhancement


  • Working towards an advanced degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Math, Economics, Marketing Research or other quantitative oriented fields (Decision Sciences, etc.)
  • Academic or professional/internship experience with python, R, or statistical programming tools such as SAS/S+/C++
  • Experience in data processing, analytics, business intelligence, and reporting is a plus.
  • Good communications, verbally; as well as, the ability to construct cogent design documents, emails and PowerPoints
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You will be expected to embrace the challenges, learn fast and deliver great results.
  • You will bring the willingness to learn and grow and we will reciprocate with ample opportunity to do just that, in a friendly, fun and exciting environment!
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a global team in our Saddle Brook NJ or Chicago IL Office (only entertain candidates willing to relocate to either Saddle Brook or Chicago)
