Our Team

The Director of Ad Operations reports to the Executive Director of Ad Operations within Catalina’s Global Operations Organization.

The Director of Ad Operations will be responsible for the building and management of a team of Ad Operations Specialists, building offshore partnerships to scale the organization and be responsible for implementing and managing Catalina’s Digital Media offering for the Operations Organization.

This role will also provide consultative support from a technical and operational perspective and help develop processes and training to educate cross-departmental teams on best practices.

This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Solutions, Commercialization, Sales Support, Creative, Account Management, and Analytics, to build out processes that will enable the growth of Catalina’s Digital offering, streamline and automate those processes in order to scale, and enhance and champion Operation’s best practices.


  • Implement, launch, and manage Catalina’s new digital media product offerings

  • Complement and enhance the client experience by creating the one-stop-shop of Catalina’s digital media and audience and measurement solutions. 

  • Roll out and provide support around the scalability of additional social and native digital media channels

  • Cross-functional collaboration for product launches and digital solutions with internal product, analytics, and commercialization teams to develop test plans, and assign test cases

  • Work with the team to ensure optimal campaign implementation and performance and proactively think about potential roadblocks to meeting campaign performance goals

  • Develop and lead training sessions for internal stakeholders as new products or platform updates roll-out

  • Partner with Product and Commercialization teams to develop and implement a support plan for Catalina’s Digital Media offering

  • Learn and develop an intimate understanding of Catalina’s product offerings and internal product lifecycles to develop a strategy to enable the ad ops team to prioritize product launches

  • Manage and develop Ad Operations Specialists team in their responsibilities of trafficking, managing, and optimizing Programmatic campaigns

  • Lead strategic resourcing planning that leverages our existing team and our offshore partner, building for scalability and flexibility

  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within and outside of the company

  • Identify process inefficiencies, ways to improve workflow, create and maintain documentation and best practices within digital ad operations and cross-functionally

  • Develop, Manage, and scale support with offshore vendor relationships based on project resource requirements

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Product, Solutions, and Commercialization stakeholders to support the Digital roadmap and strategy

  • Act as a Digital expert and escalation point on product and technology issues

  • Use Programmatic and Technical knowledge to contribute to the governance of external ad tech tool/vendor choices  


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Math, Economics, or related field

  • 8+ years of experience in an Ad Operations, Advertising Technology or Programmatic Trading role at a DSP/SSP or Agency, with a focus in the Programmatic space

  • 4+ years of direct people leadership experience, and proven ability in building high performance and collaborative teams

  • Expertise with Ad Servers/Tag Management platforms (CM360, Flashtalking, etc) and Ad Verification Vendors (DoubleVerify, IAS, Moat, etc)

  • Expertise with Rich Media ad formats and vendors

  • Experience with social media and native platforms

  • Extensive digital knowledge and experience with pixels, data collection and measurement partners

  • Strong campaign management and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience building and implementing go-to-market strategies

  • Strong Project and Product Management experience

  • Experience in SQL, NoSQL, Python and JavaScript a plus

  • Familiarity with Retail Media Networks a plus
